A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT

Welcome to the Valley. Whether you are a new resident or experiencing life's changes, we offer our friendship. For those of you who have just moved here, you will enjoy our friendly atmosphere and a host of members waiting to greet you. Desert Newcomers is a great way to meet new friends and learn about what our community has to offer.

Las Vegas and the surrounding areas of Henderson and Boulder City are in the heart of the desert surrounded by mountains.  There are numerous parks, walking paths, hiking trails, several display garden arenas, plentiful libraries, historical museums and acres of golf courses. Primarily this is a gambling town and there are plenty of casinos, so you never get bored. There also is a flux of entertainers and shows in town. Lake Mead and Boulder Dam are nearby.  

The Desert Newcomers Club, Inc. was founded in 1990 and incorporated in 2004 as a not-for-profit entity. We currently have approximately 200 members and 20 activity groups. Members enjoy year round friendship and fun.

We publish a monthly newsletter and annual directory for our members.

Our Mission is to help you make new friends and to learn about opportunities in this wonderful community. Members volunteer to organize and run our activities. The best way to get to know people is to become involved and participate in our events.
