Jane Ann Morrison, Las Vegas Review Journal
columnist. She has worked in newspapers since
1971. In 1973, while working at the Southwest
Times Record in Arkansas, she covered a university
professor running for Congress named Bill Clinton. She
started working as the RJ in 1976 as a feature writer,
then became the federal court reporter, then the gaming
reporter and in 19990 the political reporter. In
2003, she became the first female general interest
columnist for the RJ. Her column appears Monday,
Thursday and Saturday on the front paged of the Nevada
section of the RJ. |

The Luncheon was a festive event held at Buchman’s
Revere
Golf Club with about 90 women. Entertainment was
provided
by Marilyn Monroe & Frank Sinatra (impersonators). A
surprise
was had by all when Marilyn sang a special happy
birthday tribute
to Shelia Drayster (her mom in real life). Each member
donated
an unwrapped gift for ‘toys for tots’ that was collected
by the Marine’s.
The table centerpieces were painted wooden snowmen &
nutcracker statues that were awarded during the door
prize raffle. |
